The National Minimum legal wage for a worker over 21 has risen to £6.19 per hour this month.

The UK National Minimum Wage is the minimum pay per hour most workers are entitled to by law, even if you are a migrant or international student.

All employer, regardless of size, mus pay the minimum wage.

The GOvernment publishes the minimum wage rate, which depends on you age and if you are an apprentice.

Year 21 and over 18 to 20 Under 18 Apprentice
2012 (current rate) £6.19 £4.98 £3.68 £2.65
2011 £6.08 £4.98 £3.68 £2.60
2010 £5.93 £4.92 £3.64 £2.50

Make sure you are being paid the minimum legal wage!
