From 25 March 2013 if you are taking the Life in the UK test you will be answering new questions based on the new handbook ‘Life in the UK – A Guide for New Residents’, published on 28 January 2013.
The revised test includes new questions on all sections of the new handbook, meaning that migrants will be tested on their knowledge of history and the law.
The 24 question computer based Life in the UK test only lasts for 45 minutes and you must get a minimum of 18 correct answers to pass.
Many UK residents find it hard to pass the Life in UK Test, which is administered by learndirect on behalf of the UK Border Agency, but if you study the guide you should be successful.
All the information about booking a test can be found in the Life in the UK Test section of the UK Border Agency website.
