Two Iranians who say they were part of the pro-democracy movement have gone on hunger strike and sewn their lips together at the UK Border Agency in Croydon after being turned down for asylum, the BBC reports.

They claim their case is simple – if the UK government is fighting to support democracy campaigners in Libya then it should also support those from other countries.

The Home Office says their applications have been dealt with fairly and they must leave.

  1. I think they must go to Nigeria where they will learn skills of making money esily

  2. philip dustin says :

they should be made to leave, other wise others will do even more harm to them selfs just to be allowed to stay in here, come on soft britain my tax goes in there too.go back to your country where ever you came from there are other counries besides britain where you can seek asylum.

  3. this people must leave if they are not elligible to stay here as if they get assylum and stay they will get benifits and others at the end the taxpayer like me will pay for there everyday needs.they are good on talking and begging to stay but once they get what the want tehy will do something bad in this country..let them leave and go back to there country.
