In what could only be described as a terrible week for the Home Office, up to 5,500 immigration officials have announced that they will go on strike next Thursday in a dispute about job cuts and pay…Will disrupt 130,000 passengers and UK tourists as they arrive the day before the Olympic opening ceremony.

Parliament take emergency action to save immigration system after court says it has been operating illegally since 2008

UK Immigration Rules, under which the UK Border Agency has been operating for four years, were rushed from the Home Office to the House of Lords…The appeal was unanimously upheld by five Supreme Court judges this week throwing the whole immigration system into disarray.
