BRITISH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF THE PHILIPPINES PRESS RELEASE

Four of the Philippines’ most prominent foreign Chambers that promote, initiate, and encourage business relationships among countries, and which are likewise strong advocates in maintaining and supporting the country’s economy – the British Chamber of Commerce, Australian-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines – are holding a second Local Employment Expo for the year 2009.

The Expo, dubbed the Foreign Chambers’ Career Fair 2009: Local Employment Opportunities with the Country’s Best Employers, will be held at the Activity Center of Market!Market! on Thursday and Friday, October 22 and 23, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

For the last 3 years, the Chambers have been jointly organizing Local Employment Expo’s to strategically bring together businesses and highly qualified professionals and graduates under one roof to enable employers to find a good match for their human resource requirements. Likewise, the event allows companies to network and gain contacts within and beyond the foreign chambers.

Hiring the best and right people for the job is imperative. Searching, short listing, and placing the right person with the right skills, ability, and character in the right place is an expensive task. Filling a position with the right person then becomes a long-term investment. The second-run of 2009 Career Fair is expected to draw up most qualified applicants from the finest and mainly reputable schools in the country.

Amidst the Global Financial Crisis, while many companies have had to lay off employees to cut costs, becoming a participant and exhibitor in this Fair positions your Company as a stable and secure employer that is defying the current economic slump. While many companies are downsizing and/or terminating, it reflects that you are hiring and continuing to offer career opportunities.

We are inviting you to become a privileged sponsor to the Foreign Chambers’ Career Fair 2009. Attached to this letter are the sponsorship packages that will not only address your human resource requirements, but will also merit valuable publicity and positioning strategy to meet your marketing needs. The Philippine and international media organizations will be invited to cover the event and broadcast this message to benefit your corporation.

Also enclosed is a Commitment Form you should use to respond to this invitation.  Thank you for taking the time to review the accompanying material. We look forward to your support in this year’s Employment Expo. For more information about this sponsorship opportunity or to confirm sponsorship participation, please feel free to contact  Miss. Mildred Austria or Emily Gutierrez, by emailing secretariat@bccphil.com or call 858-2327/2373.

Sponsorship packages available.

Sincerely,
